Short Film Evening

The Austrian Youth Film Association (Österr. Jugendfilmverband) and the Vienna Film Circle (Wiener Filmkreis) have merged to form the Austrian Film Circle (Österr. Filmkreis). To celebrate this new partnership, on April 2 we're premiering a selection of recent projects: five short films in both German and English, produced by the two organizations. Following the screenings, a Q&A session will provide an opportunity to engage directly with the filmmakers.

Plot Outline

The Austrian Film Circle presents the second edition of "Kurzfilmkreis" (short film circle) on Wednesday, August 26th, 2026, 18:00 at Burg Kino Wien. We will screen six short films by different filmmakers.
The two-hour evening program includes a brief discussion of every film. The usual Q&A format is reversed: the filmmakers ask the audience questions instead of the other way around.
